How we research and publish

EV Charger Directory uses a fail-closed editorial process: evidence, language and technical checks must all pass before a URL can be approved for indexing.
What verified means here
Verified means that a specific claim has a dated source, defined geography, recorded validity period and editorial review. It does not mean that a company, person or product is certified, endorsed or guaranteed by EV Charger Directory.
A listing must separately establish business identity, explicit EV charging service, geography and useful supported attributes. A business directory record, map presence or keyword is not enough.
Primary sources by market
UK research prioritises GOV.UK and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles for grants and installation rules. German research uses the relevant federal ministry, consolidated legislation, the Federal Network Agency and KfW only where current product status can be confirmed.
Dutch research prioritises RVO, Rijksoverheid and CBS. Every record captures the organisation, date, country or region, period, expiry and wording limits so that a maximum grant or dated price is not presented as a personal entitlement or as current indefinitely.
Research, drafting and QA
A factual researcher closes the evidence record before drafting starts. Public copy may use only the allowed facts and must preserve the stated limits, exclusions and expiry dates.
Editorial QA then checks every claim, search intent, similarity and possible cannibalisation, formula, metadata, canonical URL, hreflang, schema, accessibility and internal linking. Research and copy are not merged into one automatic step.
Coordinated English, German and Dutch publication
An approved entity is prepared in English, German and Dutch from the same factual record. Titles, terminology, examples, questions and calls to action are localised, while the country and factual scope remain unchanged.
Each locale has its own QA and publication status. Sitemap and hreflang include only approved, complete and reciprocal variants; an unfinished translation is kept out until it passes.
Automation and manual review
Automation creates restrictive workflow states, checks translation coverage, identifies missing evidence and validates sitemap, canonical and hreflang rules. These checks can detect incomplete records but cannot certify the truth of a claim.
Indexing requires complete evidence, editorial approval, an indexable state, current sources, a matching content hash, at least 80/100 and a recorded manual decision. Submissions and reviews are never promoted automatically.
Corrections, expiry and withdrawal
A correction report should identify the URL, country, disputed statement and dated official evidence. We investigate the record; a report is not an automatic edit and no response or publication deadline is promised.
When a source expires or conflicts with current primary evidence, the affected locale returns to noindex or is withdrawn until the issue is resolved. The content date changes only when the content itself changes.
Funding and AdSense status
EV Charger Directory is free to use and AdSense is currently disabled. The site therefore does not currently fund its operation through displayed advertising.
Advertising remains a planned model subject to approval, configuration and consent controls. It does not bypass evidence gates or manual editorial decisions.
