EV Charger Directory is rebuilding its EV charging information for the UK, Germany and the Netherlands around traceable evidence, separate editorial states and controlled indexing. Existing records are not treated as approved simply because they are stored or visible.
Current publication status
Our editorial scope covers EV charging information for the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands. Installer records, geographic pages, legacy guides and calculators move through research, editorial and index states; these states are tracked separately for every language version.
A stored record, a public business listing or an administratively reviewed submission is not automatically a published recommendation. Pages remain noindex or unavailable until the relevant evidence and review gates have been cleared.
Sources and evidence records
For UK claims we prioritise sources such as GOV.UK and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles. German research uses the relevant federal ministry, legislation, the Federal Network Agency and KfW where its current status can be confirmed. Dutch research uses bodies including RVO, Rijksoverheid and CBS.
Each evidence record identifies the source organisation, access or publication date, geography, validity, confidence and the limits of what may be said. A map result or keyword match alone does not establish EV installation service, qualifications or coverage.
Research, writing and locale review
Research is closed before public copy is drafted. One factual record then supports separately localised English, German and Dutch versions, without changing the country, scheme or rule being described.
Each version receives its own factual, language and technical QA. Indexing requires all publication gates, a score of at least 80/100 and a recorded manual approval. A score of 65–79 remains noindex; a lower score is hidden or withdrawn.
Automation and human decisions
Automation helps create controlled states, detect missing translations, compare hashes and test sitemaps, canonical URLs and hreflang. It checks records and rules; it does not prove that a source is true or approve an installer by itself.
A manual decision is required before indexing. An installer submission that passes administrative moderation still enters research with blockers, rather than moving directly to published status.
Listings, ratings and reviews
A listing is not a certification, endorsement, availability check or guarantee of service area. Confirm qualifications, insurance, warranty, specification and an itemised written quote directly with the business before appointing it.
Locally submitted reviews remain pending until moderated and are kept separate from any external rating aggregate. Moderating a local review must not overwrite that external aggregate.
Corrections and expiry
Corrections can be reported through the contact form. Include the affected URL, country, exact statement and a dated official source where possible; sending evidence does not change or publish a page automatically.
Time-sensitive sources are reviewed against their recorded expiry. If evidence expires, conflicts with another primary source or no longer supports a claim, the affected version can return to noindex or be withdrawn while it is investigated.
Funding and advertising
The site is free to use. AdSense is currently switched off, so EV Charger Directory is not presently funded by displayed ads. Advertising is a planned model only if the site is approved for AdSense and the required configuration is enabled.
If advertising is enabled later, it will remain subject to the site's consent controls and page exclusions. Future advertising must remain separate from the documented evidence and editorial decisions.
How we research and publish
EV Charger Directory uses a fail-closed editorial process: evidence, language and technical checks must all pass before a URL can be approved for indexing.
