Formula, tariff snapshot and limits

For battery mode, the tool calculates energy added from usable capacity and the charge-level change, then converts it to grid energy with the selected efficiency. Meter mode uses measured grid kWh directly, so losses are not applied twice.

Reproducible example: 60 kWh usable, 20% to 80% and 85% efficiency gives 36 kWh in the battery and 42.35 kWh from the grid. At the dated Great Britain example rate, variable energy costs £11.06.
